Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Polymesh websites, web application, APIs, and native iOS/Android apps (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, joining a mesh, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service
Polymesh provides private, invite-only tools for small trusted groups (“meshes”) to coordinate shared life — including calendars, expenses, chat, relationships, optional location sharing, and agreements. The Service is not a public social network and is not designed for public discovery.
Privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy and Data Safety Policy. Those documents are incorporated by reference for disclosures required by app stores and privacy law.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Accounts and meshes
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping authentication factors (passkeys, passwords, email access) secure.
- Meshes are invite-led. Membership, roles (including moderators), and access to shared resources are controlled within the product.
- You must not share login credentials. You should use “Sign out all devices” if a device is lost or an account may be compromised.
- Early access / waitlist signup does not guarantee an invitation or continued availability of any feature.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable law or others’ rights
- Harass, stalk, threaten, or abuse other users
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt or probe the Service
- Bypass access controls, rate limits, or authentication
- Scrape, bulk-export, or index the Service without our written permission
- Use the Service to surveil someone without lawful basis and appropriate consent
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a misleading way
- Use the Service for spam, illegal adult content involving minors, or exploitation
Location features must only be used with people who expect to share location with you inside an invite-only mesh. Do not coerce or covertly monitor others.
5. Your content and license
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant Polymesh a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, display, and back up Your Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and to grant this license. Shared mesh content may remain available to other members after you leave, depending on how the content was shared.
6. Mobile apps and app store terms
When you download Polymesh from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree that:
- These Terms are between you and Polymesh, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or its content.
- Your license to use the mobile app is non-transferable and limited to a device you own or control, subject to the applicable store’s usage rules.
- Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple and Google have no warranty obligations for the app. Any claims related to the app (product liability, legal/regulatory compliance, consumer protection, intellectual property) are between you and Polymesh, not Apple or Google.
- Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms’ mobile-app provisions and may enforce them against you.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app (for example your wireless data agreement).
7. Third-party integrations
Optional features may connect to third parties (for example Google Calendar, Apple Calendar / CalDAV, push providers, or geocoding). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Polymesh is not responsible for third-party services. You can disconnect integrations in product settings where available.
8. Availability, betas, and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Features labeled alpha, beta, or early access may be unstable or change without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POLYMESH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE SECURE AGAINST ALL THREATS.
Polymesh is a coordination tool, not a substitute for emergency services, professional legal/financial advice, or law-enforcement protection.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POLYMESH AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO POLYMESH FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANY AMOUNTS.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Polymesh against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may leave a mesh subject to in-product rules (for example, the last moderator may need to promote another member first). We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or possible legal exposure, or if required by law. Sections that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence provide otherwise. Courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where prohibited by law.
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in-product or by email when appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
